If you’re looking for an urban bike and one gear isn’t enough for you, then a fixie or singlespeed is not suitable, but hopefully the AIRTRACKS UR.2825 is!

This bike comes with a maintenance-free Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear and avoids unnecessary extras to save weight. Tektro V-brakes mounted on the frame provide better braking performance than expensive dual-pivot brakes or heavy mechanical disc brakes. As usual for bikes with hub gears, there is no coaster brake, which is a clear advantage if you don’t like that type of brake.

If you ever decide to make the bike all-weather capable, that shouldn’t be a problem since the frame and fork have mounting holes for fixed fenders. A rear rack could also be added.

To save weight, the UR.2825 comes with a rigid fork instead of a suspension fork. The lighter weight is not the only advantage – the rigid fork transfers your pedaling power better to the road because a suspension fork absorbs some of your effort.

The 42mm wide Schwalbe KOJAK 700C tires ensure enough grip and comfort on uneven roads and bumpy bike paths.

If you plan to commute to work with your bike and don’t want to wear special cycling-only pants, you don’t need to worry with the UR.2825. It features a fully enclosed chain guard that reduces maintenance and provides much better protection against dirt.

With the UR.2825, you get a simple urban bike that has the potential to be upgraded into a perfect city bike.

This bike is delivered 98% assembled. Only the handlebars and pedals need to be fixed. The final assembly ready for riding should be done by a qualified person.
