If you are looking for an urban bike and one gear is not enough for you, then the fixie or single speed is not suitable for you, but hopefully the SPRIA is!
With this bike you get a maintenance-free hub gear, the Shimano Nexus 3 speed, and no unnecessary frills to save weight. V-brakes from Tektro mounted on the board provide better braking performance than expensive dual-pivot brakes or heavy mechanical disc brakes. As is usual for bikes with hub gears, there is no coaster brake, so that's a clear advantage for you if you can't cope with such a brake.
If you ever decide to make the bike suitable for all weather conditions, that shouldn't be a problem, as the frame and fork have mounting holes for permanently mounted mudguards. You could also add a luggage rack to the back.
To save even more weight, the SPRIA does not come with a suspension fork, but rather a rigid fork. The lower weight is not the only advantage - the muscle power used is better transferred to the road by a rigid fork. This has to do with the fact that the suspension fork absorbs part of your power.
The 42mm wide Schwalbe Road Cruiser tires ensure sufficient grip and comfort on uneven roads and bumpy bike paths.
If you plan to commute to work on your bike and don't want to wear special pants designed exclusively for cycling, you don't have to worry with the UR.2820. It has a full-surface chain guard, which reduces maintenance work and ensures much better protection against dirt.
With the SPRIA you get a simple urban bike that has the potential to be expanded into a perfect city bike.
This bike is delivered 92% assembled. Only the handlebars, front tire and pedals need to be fixed. The final assembly ready for riding must be carried out by a qualified person.
